Joe Biden Takes Aim and Fires at Gun Control

There’s a right and a wrong way to run the country. President Joe Biden is proving that he only understands the wrong way.

Congress is supposed to be used when passing laws. Yet, Biden only seems interested in using executive orders. First, he used it to focus on immigration. Now, he is using it on gun control.

Biden recently took to the podium to talk about a series of executive actions that will target Second Amendment rights.

He’s making things up in order to justify that there is a “gun crisis” and why it’s important that he uses executive actions.

There is no gun crisis. If there was a gun crisis, there would be a lot more people dying because of guns than any other cause of death.

There’s a mental health crisis. After all, it is people who kill – not guns.

However, Biden believes that his executive orders will make a difference. And he’s not interested in using Congress because he doesn’t want anyone to argue with him. He’s ruling by way of dictatorship and hoping that no one will notice.

It’s as if Biden doesn’t even know what he’s saying anymore. He makes the comment to say that “Nothing, nothing I am about to recommend in any way impinges on the Second Amendment.”

However,it absolutely does.

He talks about how there have always been rules about the weapons that we are allowed to own and that certain people weren’t allowed to own weapons.

Correct. We’re not allowed to own machine guns. We’re not allowed to own weapons if we’re convicted felons. We know all of that.

The issue is not with the existing laws. The issue is that President Biden believes that he can continuously use executive orders to change the way in which we interpret the Constitution.

He decides that he’s going to insult every American who is concerned about second amendment rights by calling them “phony arguments” – and he says this before he’s even gotten into the meat and potatoes of his speech.

Gee, after insulting everyone, we can’t wait to hear what else you have to say…

“No amendment to the Constitution is absolute.”

And here we thought the Constitution was here to protect our rights. Apparently, we don’t know anything – and Biden called it “bizarre” for those who wanted to criticize his executive actions.

But there’s so much to criticize…

Should we start with the fact that he called gun violence an epidemic? The FBI statistics would argue with that. He called it an international embarrassment. The only thing embarrassing the country on an international scale at this point is our president and his inability to convey meaning when he speaks.

Most of his executive orders are senseless – he’s talking about requiring background checks for homemade “ghost guns” – kits that don’t contain serial numbers. Most crimes aren’t a result of ghost guns, but…sure, let’s add background checks to those.

Then, he nominated David Chipman to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF)…or did he? Not once but twice during the speech, Biden referred to the federal agency as AFT, whatever that agency might be.

Biden thinks that his actions are going to keep the American people safe from gun violence. Cool, does that mean he’s going to start offering mental health services? Will he start offering more funding for mental health in high schools?

Nope. He’s not doing any of that. He’s only making it harder for law-abiding citizens to gain guns.

Biden and the rest of his liberal administration haven’t figured this out yet: criminals don’t follow the law. None of these executive orders are going to aid in keeping guns out of the hands of evil individuals who want to commit crimes.

Within hours of Biden’s speech, the West Virginia Attorney General has already threatened to sue the Biden administration by “stripping the lawful masses of their constitutional rights.”
