Biden’s latest vaccination mandate has many moving parts. One of the most crucial aspects of this equation is his willingness to ask immigrants who are applying for a permanent residency to be vaccinated. This all sounds well and good enough but there’s a major catch.
The rules do not apply to illegal migrants crossing the southern border. For the illegals, vaccinations are only required if they are allowed to remain in America and become a permanent citizen. This mandate will be going into effect as of October 1st. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that these vaccinations will be part of the medical examination process for these immigrants. Daily Mail has more:
“In a statement about the new mandate, which will be effective October 1, the USCIS wrote that anyone ‘applying to become a lawful permanent resident, and other applicants as deemed necessary, must undergo an immigration medical examination to show they are free from any conditions that would render them inadmissible under the health-related grounds.’
Most immigrants seeking a green card will be subject to the vaccine mandate, including asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants adjusting their status to permanent residence. Those applying for temporary residency will only be subject to the mandate in certain cases, the USCIS states.
Migrants seeking asylum or refugee status from within the US will not be required to have the shot unless they seek an ‘adjustment of status’ – the department’s phrase to describe applying for a green card.”
The application process is not immediate. In fact, it can take many years to complete. Meanwhile, vaccination proof does not have to be provided, as the applicant has the ability to hold off initially. However, these immigrants will have a lengthy amount of time to get their jabs. The immigrants must visit a doctor that has been designated by USCIS as a “civil surgeon”.
From there, the “civil surgeon” signs off on the necessary I-693 form. That’s fine and dandy but what about the illegal immigrants who are not required to adhere to any such mandate? This is a question that no one seems to have an acceptable answer for. The illegal immigrants are merely asked to take the one Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
It’s not even mandated. If they do not want the shot, they do not have to take it. This is particularly galling when you stop to look at the mandated vaccination list for those who are actually completing their I-693 forms. Flu shots, varicella (chickenpox), pneumococcal pneumonia, rotavirus (an RNA virus), Hepatitis A, and meningococcal disease are included among them.
COVID-19 is going to be added to the list before long. The aforementioned list first began back in 1952 as a part of the Immigration and Nationality Act. This act listed many of the more harmful diseases of the time period, including mumps, measles, rubella, polio, tetanus, diphtheria toxoids, pertussis, Haemophilus influenza type B, and Hepatitis B.
Of course, there are also standard exemptions to vaccine requirements that apply in these instances. Vaccine shortages and age-related concerns are always going to come into play. Medical and religious exemptions also apply in these instances. The rules do not apply to illegal immigrants and this is the most appalling thing of all. Why shouldn’t these people have to adhere to the rules like everyone else?
Biden’s America, everyone. The illegal immigrants can do whatever they want, while the rest of us watch in horror. Good, decent, hardworking Americans are being told that they need to get vaccinated whether they want to or not, while others do not have to abide by the same principles.
That’s because Biden does not actually care whether the virus continues to spread. He thinks that he can pick and choose the times that the virus spreads, based on what the progressives might want that day. It would be hilarious if it were not so tragically misguided.
